.SongMatch® - Step 1

Let's say, I am a music manager, and I am looking for an original and previously unreleased track, written by one of the many professional songwriters/producers on the .Songs Network. My band and I are looking for something that sounds along the lines of "Hey Ya!" by Outkast.

I simply enter the song title "Hey Ya" in the Song Title field. (I deliberately left the Artist field empty to show off the system!)

.SongMatch® - Step 2

As I did not enter an artist name, I am now presented with 4 matches of "Hey Ya" by various commercial artists. I select the one by OutKast to be my reference song. Or in other words, how we like to call it, my 'Seed Song'.

 

.SongMatch® - Step 3

E Voila! I am now presented with a small list of related songs, based on "Hey Ya" as the sonic reference. I can now instantly audition the preview clips and view all necessary info in case I like what I hear. Any track, whether in or outside the .Songs Network can be used as a sonic reference for .SongMatch®! Now how cool is that?

Obviously you can also experiment with the advanced settings, such as 'how close' the matches should be to your reference song, using just a simple slider.

Certainly beats the endless drop-down menus of well... other websites, doesn't it?
